Florida Metal Roof Pricing · HOMEOWNER GUIDANCE

How will you approve extra work and charges?

Before the project begins, ask how changes will be explained, priced, approved, and recorded. If a problem is discovered beneath the old roof, you should understand the proposed extra work and the process for agreeing to it.

What this means for your project

Changes can arise from newly exposed conditions or an owner choosing a different option. Ask what evidence will be provided, whether the change affects timing, and who can authorize it. For a managed or association property, identify the decision-maker in advance. Keep each approved change with the original scope and the current total. If contract language is unclear or disputed, seek appropriate professional advice; this planning resource cannot decide contractual rights.
